Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance Launches Search for Executive Director
Executive Director to Broaden Alliance’s Focus
The Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance today announced it has begun a national search for a full-time Executive Director to lead the organization. The new director will guide the 18-year-old organization as it broadens its initiatives to explore and address the pressing long-term needs of the Coastal region north and south of the Kalamazoo River.
“The Coastal Alliance board is excited about our opportunities to protect local lands and waters for the future, including ways to address the threats of climate change,” said Board Chair Bobbie Gaunt.
Gaunt stressed that the Coastal Alliance will continue to advocate at all levels of administrative and permitting proceedings and pursue the litigation currently underway with the goal of achieving the best outcome to protect the dunes, water, wildlife and the cultural landscape.
The executive director will fill the role of retiring board president and Coastal Alliance co-founder, David Swan.
